2025 Commencement and Baccalaureate Ceremonies
We are excited to celebrate the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago’s (LSTC’s) graduating class of 2025 with two special events, our Baccalaureate Service and Commencement Ceremony:
Baccalaureate Service
Join us for a meaningful time of worship and reflection as we honor the LSTC Class of 2025 on, May 17, 2025, at 4:00pm CDT at Augustana Lutheran Church (5500 S. Woodlawn Ave, Chicago, IL).
The Baccalaureate service is open to all guests—no tickets required. Please note that parking is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, both in the church lot and on surrounding streets.
165th Commencement Ceremony

We invite you to celebrate with us as we confer degrees and recognize the accomplishments of the Class of 2025. This event will be held Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 2:30pm at St. Paul and the Redeemer Episcopal Church (4945 S. Dorchester Ave, Chicago, IL)
We are honored to welcome Bishop Yehiel Curry of the Metropolitan Chicago Synod as this year’s Commencement Speaker.
The Graduating Student Reception will immediately follow the service.
Seating & Parking
- Priority seating in the chapel is reserved for ticketed guests of graduates.
- Non-ticketed guests may be seated in the chapel if space permits.
- Overflow seating will be available with a live video stream.
- Parking is limited; entrance to the lot is on 50th Street, with additional street parking nearby.
Livestream
A livestream of the Commencement ceremony will be available for those who cannot attend in person. The link will be posted one week prior to the event.
