Debra Cronin joins LSTC as director of educational and information technologies

Debra Cronin joined the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago (LSTC) as Director of Educational and Information Technologies Sept. 20.
“Debra is no stranger to Higher Education IT, and we appreciate that she has a longstanding reputation as a transformational leader,” said Richard Vivian, vice president for finance and operations. “Digital technology is an essential component of how LSTC fulfills its educational mission. We welcome Debra’s experience and skills to help us fulfill that mission.”
“My goal is to provide current and progressive technology to enhance and support the LSTC mission. I’m very thankful for this opportunity to expand my worldview by meeting people from all over the world with extraordinary stories and gather better understanding of the diversity that resides at LSTC,” Cronin said.
Cronin has served as Director of Information Technology at the City Colleges of Chicago; IT Director of Customer Service, Georgia Perimeter College, Atlanta, GA; Oxnard College, Oxnard, Calif.; and for Little City Foundation, Palatine, Ill. Most recently she worked as a client account manager for Streamline Health Solutions, Oakbrook Terrace, Ill. She is an adjunct faculty member at Malcolm X College, Chicago.
Cronin has a B.S. in organizational science from California Lutheran University, an M.S. in management of information technology from Georgia State University, and an M.S. in health informatics from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is currently pursuing a M.S. in Educational and Instructional Technology from Western Michigan University.
