MA Theological Studies
Bangalore, India
What made you choose LSTC?
I had heard about LSTC from my friends who studied here. After ten years of ordained ministry in Church of South India Karnataka Central Diocese, I was planning to go for higher studies in Germany. My wife, then-fiancée Dr. Chrisida, an alum, shared about LSTC and encouraged me to apply for MA program. I was impressed by the public church focus, diverse international community and its theological values. After prayers and careful discernment, I accepted God’s call to move to Chicago.
What people and communities helped you to get here?
My parents, my wife and family supported and helped me to get here. I thank my congregation members whom I pastored for their continued prayers for my future and higher studies. I am grateful to LSTC, particularly to the registrar, admissions and Dean of students and the team for their continued guidance and support in my transition.
What do you hope to learn during your time at LSTC?
I hope and trust that my time at LSTC will enhance my theological education to efficiently minister to the growing needs of the church. The significance of ecumenical concerns and interfaith dialogue in church is essential in today’s world. This is where enhancing my knowledge with regard to God, people of God and the creation of God becomes crucial as we serve in pluralistic contexts with raising global concerns. I believe that MA studies at LSTC would further broaden my vision of ministry and equip me for my doctoral studies.
