The Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago is pleased to announce the appointment of Keisha Dyson as Vice President for Enterprise Innovation. Dyson brings over 25 years of experience in the areas of communications, media, and institutional leadership to this critical role, where she will spearhead LSTC’s innovation strategies and enterprise-wide initiatives.

In this newly created position, Dyson will lead the seminary’s enterprise development, focusing on projects identified by the board of directors and within the strategic plan. With a mission to promote financial sustainability, drive growth, and elevate LSTC’s national profile, Dyson will provide oversight to high-impact programs, including Project Starling, an initiative dedicated to expanding educational reach through digital platforms. Dyson will serve as a core member of the executive leadership team and cabinet, collaborating across departments to foster innovation while continuing to champion the success of the institution’s ongoing operations.

“I am excited to build new programs at LSTC and elevate our institution at this time of pivotal transformation,” said Dyson. “I look forward to working closely with other institutional leaders, the board, and key stakeholders to advance initiatives that not only sustain but reimagine theological education for future generations.”

As the Vice President for Enterprise Innovation, Dyson will be responsible for setting strategic direction of her office, managing resources, and guiding enterprise-wide projects from conception to execution. In this role, she will identify and develop new revenue streams through partnerships, grants, and corporate sponsorships, all while nurturing relationships with key external stakeholders.

In a letter to the campus community, LSTC President James Nieman said, “This forward-looking role marks an exciting new chapter for our school, matching our historic strengths with inventive strategies able to adapt to the changing shape of theological education today. Please join me in welcoming Keisha Dyson to this important role and congratulating her at this important vocational moment. As with all of our faculty and staff, we are blessed indeed to have such a gifted person in our midst.”
