Doctor of Ministry

What is your favorite memory of your time at LSTC?

My favorite memory at LSTC has to be the international student summer outings.

What was the most meaningful class you took?

Public Church I: Methods for Engaging a Public Church, taught by Dr. Marvin Wickware.

How did you feel supported during your seminary journey? Were you the recipient of any major scholarships? What communities or people uplifted you during your studies?

I have felt greatly supported during my seminary journey. The LSTC community has been amazing from my teachers, students, staff, friends, and families, who have contributed a lot to make sure that I am accommodated and cared for so that the only thing I had to worry about was my studies. I am also a scholar for the ELCA International Leadership Program.

What are your post-graduation plans?

I do not know yet, but I am extremely excited for the future and the journey.

How did LSTC shape you as a future leader of the public church?

My personal and professional journey relates to Diakonia. I have always believed that faith communities go beyond Sunday services and church buildings. I grew up seeing the church do so much for the community’s development, transformation, healing, and reconciliation. LSTC’s public church curriculum has given me great tools that will continue to empower me as a pastor for my community. The hope in public church ministry is that the church has the power to address society’s needs. I am excited to make a meaningful impact on my community and the church.
