Theological Education for Emerging Ministries
What is your favorite memory of your time at LSTC?
One of my favorite memories at LSTC was working with my professors and classmates in an online setting. Even though we were not in a physical classroom together, the discussions, shared learning, and support from both faculty and peers made the experience meaningful and enriching.
What was the most meaningful class you took?
The most meaningful class I took was From Genesis to Revelation: Bible Survey. This class deepened my understanding of scripture as a whole and helped me see the overarching themes of God’s love, grace, and redemption throughout the Bible. It strengthened my ability to connect biblical teachings to everyday life and ministry.
How did you feel supported during your seminary journey? Were you the recipient of any major scholarships? What communities or people uplifted you during your studies?
During my seminary journey, I felt supported by my advisors, my professors, mentors, and the ELCA TEEM program, which provided both financial and academic support. My faith community at Iglesia Luterana Adviento, along with my friends and family, uplifted me and gave me the encouragement I needed to persevere.
What are your post-graduation plans?
After graduation, I plan to continue working as a pastor for Iglesia Luterana Adviento in Arlington, TX. I am excited to serve my congregation, continue growing in my ministry, and walk alongside my community in faith.
How did LSTC shape you as a future leader of the public church?
LSTC has shaped me as a future leader of the public church by equipping me with theological knowledge, pastoral skills, and a deepened understanding of what it means to serve God’s people. Through my studies, I have grown in my ability to preach, teach, and provide pastoral care in a way that is both faithful to Lutheran theology and responsive to the needs of my community.
