What is your favorite memory of your time at LSTC?

My favorite memory is the sense of community during chapel services. Whether it was singing together in multiple languages, hearing diverse voices preach, or gathering for special celebrations, those moments reminded me of the beauty of our shared faith and the richness of our differences.

What was the most meaningful class you took?

Biblical Hebrew was transformative for me. It deepened my understanding of scripture, challenged me to think critically about translation and interpretation, and brought new layers of meaning to texts I thought I already knew. It was a reminder that God’s word is always alive, always speaking anew.

How did you feel supported during your seminary journey? Were you the recipient of any major scholarships? What communities or people uplifted you during your studies?

I was deeply supported by the faculty and staff, who always took time to guide and mentor me, as well as by classmates who became like family. The community at LSTC walked with me through both joyful and challenging seasons. I was blessed to receive scholarships that lightened the financial burden, allowing me to focus on my studies and ministry preparation. I was also uplifted by my home congregation, friends and family whose love and encouragement grounded me through it all.

What are your post-graduation plans?

I plan to serve in a bilingual, multicultural congregation, focusing on creating spaces of radical hospitality and justice. I envision a ministry that celebrates cultural diversity, incorporates vibrant worship in multiple languages, and advocates for marginalized communities. Beyond congregational work, I hope to engage in community organizing and collaborate with local nonprofits to address issues such as immigration reform, housing, and education equity.

How did LSTC shape you as a future leader of the public church?

LSTC equipped me with tools to navigate the complexities of ministry in a diverse and often divided world. It taught me to lead with humility, to listen deeply, and to value collaboration. The emphasis on being a public church inspired me to see ministry not as confined to the walls of a church building, but as active participation in the community, advocating for justice and walking alongside those on the margins. My time at LSTC shaped me to be a bridge-builder, a storyteller, and a proclaimer of God’s boundless grace.
