LSTC Welcomes Prospective Students from the University of Maryland
We are thrilled to announce the arrival of sixteen prospective students from the University of Maryland (UMD) to the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago (LSTC). As we navigate the changing landscape of education, it is essential to showcase the transformative power of our seminary community and the myriad opportunities a seminary education can unlock.
From January 14th to January 20th, we extend a warm welcome to these students and their campus Pastor, Ray Ranker, as they embark on a week of immersive experiences hosted by Cassandra Olivier, Director of Admissions; Freddy Sanchez, Admissions Counselor; and LSTC student Immanuel Karunakaran. Their carefully crafted agenda includes engaging activities that aim to provide a comprehensive understanding of our institutional studies.
From Monday through Friday, prospective students will have the unique opportunity to interact with our exceptional faculty, participate in exclusive classroom sessions, and embark on field trips to meet renowned theologians and professionals who have leveraged their seminary education for impactful ministry. This initiative is not just about traditional vocations but also explores nontraditional paths, demonstrating the versatility of a seminary education. All members of the LSTC community are encouraged to extend a friendly welcome, introduce themselves, and make our guests feel the warmth of our inclusive community!
