Associate Professor in Christian Theology at Karen Baptist Theological Seminary

Can you share some highlights or meaningful moments from your life since you graduated  from LSTC?

After graduating from LSTC, I was appointed to teach theology at Karen Baptist Theological  Seminary. The Lutheran theological perspectives I gained at LSTC are highly relevant and  impactful for my seminary context. I was especially encouraged when Dr. Linda Thomas,  Academic Dean of LSTC, joined me and our KBTS students, inspiring them to pursue  justice and to remain steadfast in their commitment to serving our country. After  graduating from LSTC, I returned to Myanmar to serve my people by strengthening  theological education. My time at LSTC shaped me into a capable and committed leader  for this work.

How has your LSTC experience shaped your journey?

LSTC has taught me to open my heart to embrace inclusive values throughout my  theological journey. During my time there, I focused on Womanist Theology under the  mentorship of Dr. Linda E. Thomas. The philosophy and values of Womanist Theology  opened my eyes to honor and accept all individuals—both physically and spiritually.

Do you have any words of encouragement for current students?

Being a student at LSTC is a life-changing experience under divine grace, nurturing  individuals to become servant leaders in ministry. LSTC offers not only academic  excellence but also instills the deeper calling to embrace all humanity as beloved children of God.
