What is your favorite memory of your time at LSTC?
My favorite memory of my time at LSTC is singing in the choir, as it feels like a form of medication for me, both physically and mentally. I also cherish chapel services and dinner church, where we gather together, breaking and sharing the body and blood of Christ with one another.
What was the most meaningful class you took?
Preaching the Gospel of John
How did you feel supported during your seminary journey? Were you the recipient of any major scholarships? What communities or people uplifted you during your studies?
I am ELCA Global Mission scholarship holder. The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America supports me greatly, both financially and spiritually and I am grateful for this opportunity, which helps further my future plans and journey. In addition, I am continually supported by my friends, including one of the former HKBP Ephorus in Indonesia, and my friends here at LSTC. All I need is the trust of my friends and community in the plans and processes I am going through and will go through, and I feel that the people closest to me fully trust me.
What are your post-graduation plans?
I am thinking of preparing my PhD application for 2026 and/or applying a job to the Indonesian Bible Society as part of my future plans.
How did LSTC shape you as a future leader of the public church?
Since completing the ThM program, the professors consistently encouraged me to teach or present in every class I attended, aligning with the objectives of the ThM program itself. This approach has been especially beneficial for someone like me, an introvert with little confidence in public speaking.
