What advice would you give to first-year students?

My experience during my first year of the MA program as an international student was challenging. However, I feel very fortunate because there are various programs that support international students, such as orientation, mentorship with seniors, academic workshops, language support, and academic guidance. It is important to always build communication with students who have been studying at LSTC for longer, hone your skills in accessing online resources from both JKM and the library, and of course maintain regular communication with your academic advisor.

What people, communities, or faculty members have been your biggest support thus far?

The international student community has become my second family at LSTC, always ready to provide support and encouragement. I am very grateful to have all the faculty that cares and accompanies me throughout my academic journey. I will also never forget Dr. Peter, who taught me how to access online resources by studying with him in his office.

What are you most looking forward to during this academic year?

I am excited to complete my ThM program, and I hope to use the knowledge and experiences I have gained at LSTC to meaningfully serve and support my community in Indonesia.
