Join the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago’s Center for Christian-Muslim Engagement for Peace and Justice, Catholic Theological Union (Catholic Muslim Studies Program), and Hyde Park Turkish Community for an informal, family-friendly potluck gathering as Muslims break their daily fast during the holy month of Ramadan. If you are able, please bring *halal food to share. Free parking available at the adjacent CTU parking garage.
*Halal (permissible) food includes fruits, vegetables, grains, animal products that have been processed in a particular way, no pork products, and no alcohol. You can identify halal by looking for the following symbols in the supermarket:
