The Niagara Foundation, Catholic Theological Union, Center of Christian-Muslim Engagement for Peace and Justice

Join the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago’s Center for Christian-Muslim Engagement for Peace and Justice, the Niagara Foundation, and the Catholic Theological Union for an Interfaith Iftar Dinner program on Saturday, March 16th at 6:30 pm. This program will include a catered meal and special guest speaker, along with fellowship with new and old friends.

For the Muslim faith, Ramadan is the holiest and the most significant month of the year. It is a time for fasting during daylight hours, prayer, charity events, and self-reflection. As well as being the month of fasting and spiritual growth, Ramadan is the month when Muslims, along with their family members, reach out to friends, neighbors, and communities from various cultures and religions, get together at Iftar, the evening meal with which Muslims end daily the Ramadan fast at sunset, and share conversations with them.

We would be honored to have you at this Interfaith gathering together with community and religious leaders from various communities.

Guest speaker: Alia J. Bilal serves as Chief Executive Director at the Inner-City Muslim Action Network (IMAN)
