Queer Intersectionality and the Public Church Symposium

1692 1692 people viewed this event.

The Queer Intersectionality and the Public Church Symposium will take place April 22-23, 2024 at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. This inaugural conference explores how queer intersectional identities shape faith communities, and the roles faith communities’ play in embracing queer joy and responding to rising anti-LGBTQIA+ policies. The symposium features an array of panel discussions, speakers, and hands-on workshops led by a diverse group of scholars, clergy, and activists. The 2024 theme, “This is My Story,” explores the power of stories and storytelling in honoring queer ancestors, emboldening queer resistance, and embodying queer joy. Register to secure your spot and be part of this empowering conversation!
